I could probably post this a few hundred times more.
Constantly checking downloadable content. Cannot even start a game. It starts as soon as the gamemenu pops up and doesnt stop.
10 minutes and still going strong.
I'm assuming that this issue is occuring for you on PC.
If that is the case, Manually delete all content in your DLC folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC)
Open Origin and redownload any DLC you had
Then restart the game
If you're on XBox, clear Cache then restart game.
