However, on a subsequent play session after the Party, my home decor had reverted to the defaults. Looking in the Catalog, I was only able to see one option for each choice, as if I hadn't purchased new items. A visit to the store showed that these items were purchased, but they just failed to appear in my apartment catalog.
How can I get these items to appear in my apartment (and catalog) again?
Same here. I tried several new layout changes, but all the fancy stuff doesn't come back. It sucks.
For some reason the furniture resets after the party; when this happens you should be able to select a default option (as 1ago posted above) exit out and then go back in and select a purchased (fancy) option.
