Clicking a weapon or ability in the UI is broken

I don't know if anyone else has this bug, but sometimes when I try to choose an ability or weapon via the UI, it's triggering something else. For example, when I try to click a weapon, it triggers an...

This is ME2, by the way (at least it was for me).

I noticed that whenever this happened, I also had the game hard crash whenever I tried to drag an item off the hotbar.
