Compatibility issue when Mass Effect 1 (for xbox360) is played on the Xbox 360 Elite.

The minigames associated with decryption are too fast for human beings.  Other forums seem to confirm that issue comes about when the game is played on the black Xbox (rather than the white one).  Is there a download to fix this?  If not, do the EA developers know about this issue?
