connect to the alliance database takes for ever

bought a CD, program installed successfully, configurator crash every time it runs, downloaded 1.02 patch, configurator running ok, program runs ok.

when i start a new game, the "connect to the database" takes forever.

updated origen client also

i haven't play this game yet, please help

    @taconcr

    'Connect to database' is not a loading message. It's a button. The game is waiting for you to click it.

    Thanks, i started playing ME2 first  then ME3 and ME1 later, connecting was different.
