Console Command dosen't shows up/work

I was trying in the past 2 hours to enable the console commands, but changing the keys to bind and change the compatibility, dosen't work at all.

So my request is simple: Help me enable this god **** console, thanks.

I have ME NOT from the Trilogy and running on Windows 10 Pro 64bit

If you have a non English/US keyboard and if you open the "BIOInput.ini" under "Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect\Config" and add "ConsoleKey=TAB" to the "[Engine.Console]" section

and save the "BIOInput.ini" afterwards, the console will work on both the Steam and the Origin versions of the Game.

Any key that is not bound to a in game action and not exclusive Windows bound will work too, as long as you enter the correct key name into the "[Engine.Console]" section of the "BIOInput.ini". You can test that with the "+" key of your keyboard set to your native language. ConsoleKey=+

Setting a second keyboard and removing the native keyboard from the Windows settings is not necessary.

    Solved again.

If you have a European keyboard in your native language follow these steps:

    - Windows Setting

    - Language, Language and Language Tab

    - Click on you Native Language Tab

    - Options

    - Keyboards

    - Add Keybord > United States

    - Select the United States keyboard as default

    - Launch the game and press ~ (near 1 button)

    - Solved!

[admin edit: It is normally not necessary to add a US keyboard to the system to get the console in Mass Effect to work. The necessary steps to do so if your keyboard is a non English/US keyboard are described in this post.

I will close this thread to make sure that this message is not altered]

Or use the "TAB" key instead of the "Tilt" key as console key. ("CapsLock" as example works too.)

That way you don't have to change your Keyboard language before starting the game.

Nope, because i tried that and didn't work at all. And i wasn't the only one.

So when no keys works, my solution solved the problem.
