I have seen this said so many times and it just isn't true.

Cerberus isn't against aliens. They are for humanity. There is a difference.

Cerberus is not against using aliens to move humanity forwards. That would include funding for the initiative to save the humans involved. Having aliens around in this case actually helps the humans involved because they each have their strengths. Cerberus specifically pointed Shepard to aliens who could help her un ME2. What they would do is make moves towards putting humanity on top.

So if we are talking about conspiracies... lets look at the fact that the benefactor seems to have been communicating with the Kett and that somehow its the human ark that crash landed on Meridian- putting humanity in charge of what's likely to be the most important tech in Andromeda.

Out of all the groups we know, Cerberus is the most likely to have manoovered the entire thing to put humanity infront while the other aliens are still around to help assist with their ongoing survival.

While I am at it - lets not rule out anyone who was in ME3.

Its very likely whoever provided that funding could have had access to all of the technology that created the arks and clearly they have money. 

Whats stopping them building a smaller, faster ark and not only over taking the other arks but beating them to Andromeda?

I'm just going to say - it probably isn't Shepard. Although... if you do destroy with enough troops he survives, and it is a fast ark...

I don't think for a second we will ever see Shep un andromeda.

Too many issues with that. Other characters might be possible if they aren't crew or LIs. Anything else would create too much of a shitstorm.. not worth the hastle.

TIM could have been reconstructed in an ark on the way to andromeda. Maybe even easier than Shep if his body was retrieved soon after death. Or any number of other ME3 characters.

The ending of ME3 pretry much made any future Shepard - thats actually Shep and not a copy pretty well impossible, to many variations.

Alec didn't die - he just made a series of pained faces and then ran off. That's why you never see his body. He was really an Ai that was created by TMI/Miranda that created an AI of it's own. The mirror facing a mirror reality that we'll never get to the bottom of.

Spender killed Jian and is working for Cerberus. Was put in place to achieve a position of power. Purposely spread decent in the ranks to split the nexus and allow him a stronger foothold. A higher position of power. Including purposely ditching the Krogan - the one species capable of surpassung humans due to their fast fertility and birth rates. He was probably hoping it would cause a war and have the Krogan wiped out before they could become an issue.

Cerberus learned of the Kett and used that to their advantage, probably made a deal with them - we will give you the dna of the other aliens if you leave humans alone and give us Meridian.

I don't care if TIM himself is around or not, the whole thing reeks of cerberus.

Wouldn't be surprised of they are plotting a way to out Tann and put a human in charge. Addison would be next in line because they aren't going to give it to Kesh and our resident Turian is still too green and was also never part of the original command structure. He kinda fell into his position. Killing Tann would be too easy and draw too much attention, has to be something else, a way to publicly discredit him for now he isn't that much of an issue, so there is no rush. He is too much of a pushover and is busy sucking up to the human pathfinder so they can bide their time with him.

And I could go on but thats enough. :D

Sorry but you sound like the marketing department of Cerberus. That's splitting hairs on the level of justification. That's exactly how Cerberus would sell themselves. You are right that they are not against USING aliens if it furthers their purposes but they do have a live and let die policy more than anything. They clearly have a sense of arrogance where they feel that humans are above all other alien races and that is a type of rethoric we've seen in human history before.

Now, you do make a couple of interesting  points outside of that and I'm trying to remember at which point we find out that the mysterious benefactor has been in contact with the Kett. Could you remind me of when that happened?

I still believe that the datapad is not pointing us to the actual "Benefactor" but simply relates to some Kett-born "benefactor". Poor writing as far as I perceive it.

Yeah, poor writing would be the most likely explanation, but I can see why people would be triggered by that word. I just don't think that BW's writing has that level of depth in their writing so I'm with you on that.
