Well no reason for the milky folks to travel to andromeda now that the reapers are defeated/controlled/assimilated... Also dont think Bioware wants to decide on a canon ending.
Maybe Andromeda travelled to the Milky Way. The whole Haestrom dark energy thing they never did anything with in the original series could of been the beginnings of the scourge.
Think the ME storyline changed hands so many times that the new writers may not even know about it or they may have cut and pasted parts of it and now call it the scourge hahah... Best case scenario for me anyway is for Bioware to do a real ME4(not MEA2) back to milky way, continuation of the original trilogy. Dont think they will be able to manage that though, with the kind of ending of ME3, it's going to be tough to pull off. Sigh...

That would be an interesting twist though - that the scourge was/is designed to kill sentient machines, like the Reapers or the Geth, and was just beginning to manifest in Geth space. Choosing synthesis would be jumping from the frying pan into the fire and doom the entire Milky Way galaxy to extinction beyond even what the Reapers would do.
If they continue with the storyline I do see us having to make some future decision where we either have to fully unite with SAM or choose death.

Judging from the missing Ark signal we received, I wouldn't be surprised if they were followed by a Reaper or two. Ship is probably full of face-chewing husks by now. I'm curious how they managed to pull off the entire venture without the Reapers indoctrinated folks learning about it, especially given what happens to TIM. Only other thing I could think of is another galaxy is outside the "programming" or experiment guidelines of the harvest and ignored. Hope we learn more. 🙂

I understand their initial reluctance to include the Quarians in a new galaxy where AI implants are taken for granted as a 'good thing'. I really hope we have a non-major race pathfinder in the lot. Elcor, Volus, Drell, Hanar... something.
Having the scourge be an anti-sentient machine thing would clean it up no matter what ending you chose if it also likes to snack on QE communications.

I mean it could be possible, but if anything since the reapers were defeated or whatever and it only happened a few years after they launched, it is possible that the Alliance and some of the other species would send military support. But idk.
