Deluxe Edition Item: Scavenger Armor Set (Solutions)
Hello,
While I am enjoying the game thoroughly and have already invested 50+ hours of gameplay into it without even being half way. I would like to address a problem I personally have with the game. Albeit that I can not speak for other players, I was quite disappointed to find out that the Scavenger armor set, the one we received for paying approximately 10 bucks extra on top of the game is not able to be re-crafted or upgradable whatsoever. I'm not expecting some kind of super OP armor set, but I would have appreciated me being able to utilize the paid for set whenever I feel the need to. Thus, I have come up with a few simple solutions that would immediately give back the armor set to those that accidentally or purposely got rid of it.
- Make it available at the research center to be re-developed at the player's leisure. Giving them the choice of aesthetics over functionality.
- Make it available at the research center, but add a few bonuses to the already special bonus. For example: either a lower percentage of the bonuses received with the Maverick Skirmisher armor set or remove one or two bonuses from it. (considering the likeness of the Scavenger looking like the Maverick Skirmisher, I figured this was a good comparison)
- Make it purchasable at vendors, preferably the one on the tempest itself so that an early player does not have to rush through the game to even be able and get it back.
- Give players the ability to retrieve it at the very same spot they retrieved the armor in the first place, if it isn't present in their inventory. To counter an exploit for resources when deconstructing or credits when selling, take it away. The armor won't give you any resources or credits.
- And last but not least, add a storage chest in the pathfinder's bedroom. Or even the armory itself. This is not specifically directed towards the Scavenger armor set, but a game this size and in the rpg genre, should have had a storage box for a multitude of reasons. For example: the people that like to collect different sets of armors so they can see what they look like and or save weaponry to be tested out later on.
I sincerely hope one of these will be implemented in the game. I'd hate to see an extra 10 bucks wasted either accidentally or that they turn out to become less viable early in the game.
Greetings,
