Deluxe Pioneer Weapon Set upgrade

I am level 27 and just redeemed the pioneer weapon set. Did I wait too long? They seem relatively week compared to my current tier 4 weapons. Anyone know how to upgrade/craft pioneer weapon...

this is the way it works for me some of them is in research and when you do it appears in development others i got it in mission and the are added to research. also you can buy some blueprints from merchants or in the apex missions when i send a strike team the some times come with new blueprint for weapons hope it help

Thanks for the tip! I know that's how weapon crafting works in general but, the pioneer weapons are not showing up in research/development at all. Or in any mission. I have them in my inventory but can't upgrade them. Do you have this set equipped?
