Dialogue audio out of sync
I bought Mass Effect Legendary Edition on pc off steam. And some sounds are out of sync. Especially during the dialogues where the scene will progress but the speeches come in late and get cut off. N...
Happens to me during all three games on PC.
- Dialogue audio will sometimes cut off before a character is finished talking.
- Sometimes dialogue audio will go out of sync with a character's mouth animations (so that they're still talking when their mouth has stopped moving).
I've played through the trilogy ten times with the originals (on the exact same desktop PC) and neither of these issues ever happened.
I had this issue, and it drove me crazy.
But I fixed it.
I transferred my game from my SSD, to another SSD.
Now it works with zero issues.
I think the transfer process is what solves it. Nothing else worked.
This bug happened to me too, and I think I managed to fix it.
Basically, I did a little testing. First I downloaded the game straight onto my SSD, and faced major issues. I couldnt hear 2 lines of dialogue without it getting desynced. Plus, there was loads of crackling, and that little looping bug where an effect sort of stutters instead of playing correctly. Then, I downloaded it straight onto my HDD instead. No issues besides some minor crackling on map load. I tested it on the conversations with joker, pressly, chakwas, and anderson during the games prologue, several times over to confirm I wasnt just getting lucky. I also tried moving the game from my HDD to the SDD, which once again caused minor problems that ceased when i moved it back to my HDD again.
My guess would be that MELE just isn't built for the higher speed good SSDs operate on, and gets confused.
That is weird, as most people are saying that this bug seems to get fixed by installing it on an SSD. I'm guessing that something maybe wrong with your SSD if this is happening.
