"Direct3D Didn't initiate probably please restart Mass Effect 2 and try again."
This is a message I've gotten all day, since I bough the DLC bundle and tried installing said bundle. I've never had problems with Mass Effect games before, and less than 6 months ago the game worke...
Two things to look at.....
The main cause I have heard lately on this is Microsoft update to the latest version....it has caused many issues.
1) Make sure your card is set up in the control panel and any graphic specific program, such as Nvidia control panel to use max power.
2) Change your computer system options for monitor, the system resolution from whatever you have now, to something similar, restart your machine, then change the options back and then try the game.
