As a female I'm really, really pissed what romance options we have .... EA / Bioware are like: Take really, really ugly (!!) ,boring men / alien or BECOME les bian. Great EA, good work Bioware ... yes, this is ironic. And: They give MORE les bian romance options in the game but here in the forum the word "les bian" is cencored? REALLY? Sometimes .....
First time that I don't want to have a romance in a Bioware game. ☹️ I'm incredible dissapointed! And angry ... I feel, sound strange: Insulted as a straight female, by this "little game". I can't tell you why, sorry. ☹️
EDIT: The most sexy "man" in this game (still a great game by the way) is SAM. Really. Best looking one, too.

I disagree that Liam doesnt look good, each to their own there.
I think he looks just fine and super handsome..
His romance however did not match the amazing character he is. Not even close.
Liam has a lot of depth if you listen to him ( and Lexi ). None of which was more than very lightly touched on during his 'romance'. I cringe to even call it that because it just wasn't. I feel more closeness to my best friend than Liams romance put forward.
Some heated kisses and auggestive flirts at the very least should have been seen / taken place before the getting serious conversation.
Its almost like his entire romance happened off-screen. Kisses and all. And all we got was a couple of friendly conversations and finally one kiss on that last Eos date just before the end of the game.
No build up what-so-ever towards romance.
A possible one night stand - if and only if you take an interrupt - and thats it.

Liam is one of the worst ME characters ever. The worst ME crew character ever. After all the problems he causes, and the screwup's he makes, they should have had the option to space him. Crisis response? but he cannot handle pressure and freaks out over every little thing. What a horrible character.

Wow i am amazed that here wasnt a single reply about "better ways to get off, get a girl/boyfriend, browse on some xxx sites but dont spamm this kid forum with adult stuff" Only great disscusion about how shallow bioware created the romance part in this game, good work keep going *thumbs up*

Like the Ryder twins, Liam is very young. First day in Andromeda he sees a friend get killed right before him and can't stop it - he is entitled to a little freaking out.
His loyalty mission he was more nervous than anything and fully willing to own the fact that he may have stuffed up. Yet he did the right thing by getting help.
Sometimes its easy to forget they are all young - and thrown right into the worst possible senario from day 1 in andromeda.
His reactions where real. He isn't perfect and that's okay. He still has growing and learning to do, really most of them do other than the ancient Draak.
Still, this is about how his romance needs improvement and how straight female players very often get the short end of the romance stick compaired to male players. That it's really past time this was addressed and improved, at the least we should get one decent human male option.

I fully agree that the female Ryder deserves a better male LI option. The thing is, everything I stated about the Liam character shows why he cannot be it. Liam was a terribly written character. A crisis response specialist who freaks out when anything goes wrong. He's frustrated about relations between the Angara and the initiative even though they don't have one yet because they just met. And he comes up with a plan that puts people's lives unnecessarily at risk and just makes it worse with each step and the only responses are basically that it's OK because he meant well. His dialogue and reactions are all over the place and nonsensical to top it all off. There is a reason why if you do a search for best to worst characters of ME:A the Liam character is at the bottom of them all.
