The only Mass effect game I know that allows to "dismantle" items, if you don't mean converting them into Omni gel, is Andromeda.
So is your problem with Mass Effect Andromeda?
@holger1405 I assume they're referring to converting items to Omni-Gel. There's a thread for this issue already.
