Do people still get banned in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer?

Multiple times now when I've been playing Mass Effect 3 multiplayer a player named [admin edit] will join and kill all him teammates and leave. I've reported him but again today [admin edit] joined killed all the teammates and left.

Additional information: Mass Effect 3 multiplayer has no team damage however he's found a way (possibly hacked) to use the biotic power pull infinitely on his teammates (making us unable to move) until they're killed by the enemies on map. I've now had him join at least 3 games and every time he joins I know no matter what we try it's over.

  • Where have you reported this user? Through the Origin client?

There is a dedicated email address for ME3 reports (ME3MPCheaters@BioWare.com), but I don't think that's still active.

  • Yeah I've reported their account for Client hack and harassment through the origin client.
  • This exact thing happened to me when playing today, player joins session as the cerberus adept and begins to spam pull to the point that i am effectively useless. It also happened to me three rounds i a row too. The solution that i came to (and i realise that it isn't a perfect one) was to just host my own game lobby so i could have full control over the teammates that i would have for the round and in the event that he did join would be quickly booted from the server.

Unfortunately at this stage in the games life cycle i would think that it is very unlikely that a player like this would receive any kind of penalty for this type of behaviour, it's just unfortunate that there are players like this that will go out of their way to "troll" and ruin everyone else' fun in the game just to get their own sad little kicks.

This game is still actually very fun to play, even after playing it for so long it is still my personal go to horde survival game when i just feel like unwinding, it would be unfortunate to have to cease to play it if this issue were to somehow spread, though it honestly wouldn't surprise me if it was the in fact the same player.

  • I know who this is about. By now, everyone who plays even semi-regularly knows who this is about.

@EA_Ataashi  Is there any way I or you can be put in direct contact with someone from this "Terms of Service team"? I'm willing to cooperate in any way possible, such as providing video evidence, and I can probably get the same cooperation from at least 10 other players if we had any assurances that our efforts could lead to the removal of this bad actor.

I reported this person with more than enough evidence to result in a ban "using the appropriate methods" (i.e., report through the Origin client) last November. This player was griefing today, and I've seen numerous testimonies of their activities since my report. This person is seemingly active multiple hours a day, joining many lobbies, and negatively influencing the player experience of perhaps 50+ players a day, which is a lot for this kind of game. It's only gotten worse. This griefer is very dedicated.

Please, elevate this case, pull some strings, whatever. I would not go to this trouble if this was a minor issue. I would not make my request if I thought this problem didn't warrant special attention. Speaking of this issue and other ME3 issues I've seen discussed, the ME3 community has every reason to believe EA's multiplayer support mechanism is trashing their reports and other feedback after providing canned responses, tickets filed into oblivion. Can you be the difference and help make even one positive change come from player feedback at this late stage in ME3's life cycle?
