Doors and some objects won't open/activate

tried using Fraps to help with it, but it didn't change anything. Comm room in Normandy is most buggy, and datapads/wall safes/etc in beginning mission don't automatically high light.
HOWEVER, I got it to work by standing over the objects (or in front of ) and pressing Esc key then quickly trying to activate the object. Most of the time this works. Not frame rate issue, because for most of the game it turned out didn't do it. Think a bug. Otherwise, made it through to end of game, and on 3 now.

Fraps doesn't help with it. You use it to monitor the framerate so that the problem can be diagnosed. Same way an MRI doesn't cure brain cancer.
