[EA app] Mass Effect 2 crashes after launching

this is a new development. i have been playing mass effect for a while and thought i would give mass effect 2 a go but there is a little problem. after i click on launch from the EA app it seems like...

Hey, @Modphene, Can you attach a DxDiag?

Also, look at your Reliability monitor and attach this file:

  • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
  • Copy and paste "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new Window > hit “ENTER.”
  • Look if it has entries for the game executable or EA app.
  • If yes, double-click the last entry for the game executable or EA app, copy the information, and save it to a text file.
  • Once saved, please attach it to the thread.
