The fact that EA wouldn't launch ME1 or ME2. Good to know that playtime information is likely not accurate.
However, yesterday (Wednesday Aug 14) I found that several non-EA apps were not working, literally just after installation, so I deleted my C partition and reinstalled Windows again.
Hopefully it works better this time.
Just checked my install size and now it's less than 39GB after working at it for a whole day, so something really screwy was going on the last couple days.
Just in case, I have posted another dxdiag from today for you.
OK, let us know how it goes. (If the games work this time.) 🙂

Well, it's a mixed bag, unfortunately.
Following deleting the C partition, ME2 and ME3 both work (yay!), but I'm sorry to say ME1 is back to the "This game hasn't released yet" error.
<Sigh>
This is unreal. How am I supposed to get ME1 working if deleting the entire partition doesn't do any good?

Did you tried to resync your system time or to set it a few days back?
- mikewoo64252351 year agoRising Adventurer
I just turned it back a week (Today's the 17th, and I set the date to the 10th), but no good, still getting 'This game hasn't released yet'
So I tried syncing with time.nist.gov, and still no good. ☹️

This is really annoying. As Fraxure022 said in this thread {https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/quot-Not-Currently-Playble-quot-or-quot-This-game-hasn-t/m-p/13979725#M55570}
'I am very frustrated and don't understand why we are treating this as a user issue when the app is clearly the problem here; the games worked perfectly fine on Origin. I just want to play my games; it shouldn't be this hard.'Maybe there should be a way to get Electronic Arts involved, even if it requires a paywall to do it. Forcing users to solve issues that are not their fault seems like a really bad idea.

It's most probably a bug in EA app, all we can try here is to find a workaround so you can play.
I am sure @EA_Shepard already reported it, but it can't hurt to ask again.

Now when I launch ME2 I'm also getting this error from EA app - 'An update is required to launch this game'
Seriously, what updates could a seventeen year old game require? More EA app bugginess.

What is your EA app version number?
(Hamburger menu top left > About) - mikewoo64252351 year agoRising Adventurer
App version number is 13.2800.0.5793 (87389-3d11ac7ef2)

- Go here.
- Download the EA app installer.
- Run the Installer > You should get a message that the App is already installed and a repair option.
- Repair EA app
- Restart the PC. (A real "Restart", not just shut down and start again.)
- mikewoo64252351 year agoRising Adventurer
Okay, downloaded a fresh copy of the EA app from the link you provided, used it to repair the EA app, and restarted.
Now my EA app version number is 13.280.0.5793 (87530-6f88c68a10) - it's different, so SOMETHING must have changed.
However, still get 'This app hasn't released yet' when I try to launch ME1. ☹️

Your system time is set correctly?
Even if, try to re-sync the system clock as described in this post.Restart the system > Test.
If that is still not helping, Create a new Windows user account (Administrator) don't use local special characters, use only Characters from the ASCII table
- Reboot > Log in to the new user account.
- Test.

Have you tried logging in and starting games on another PC?
- mikewoo64252351 year agoRising Adventurer
I re-synced my system time to time.nist.gov and restarted.
ME1 still gave me the 'This game hasn't released yet' error.
So I created a new admin user and logged in as that user.
At this point I was completely unable to start EA app no matter what I did, so here I am again.
(sigh) Does this mean I have to delete my C partition again?
Unfortunately I don't have access to another computer, but thank you for the suggestion.

Okay, I've deleted my C partition, made a new one, formatted, and am now back in Windows.
Downloading and installing EA app... done.
Downloading ME1... done.
Launching ME1...
- mikewoo64252351 year agoRising Adventurer
UNBELIEVABLE !!
I just got done reinstalling Windows - haven't even installed antivirus or registered with Microsoft yet - and ME1 is giving me ANOTHER 'This game hasn't released yet' error!
I now firmly believe this is NOT my fault. If it <was> my fault, ME1 would be working right now. And if it was a hardware issue, ME2 and ME3 would refuse to launch as well.
- holger14051 year agoHero+
Yeah, as said in post #16, it is most probably a bug in EA app.
- mikewoo64252351 year agoRising Adventurer
I noticed that EA App was updated yesterday.
However, when I try to launch ME1, I am, still getting failures; specifically, 'Failed to launch game' errors.
Guess it's one step forward, two steps back. Argh.
