What is the calibration setting for HDR Contrast and HDR Brightness under options? I'm using 4 HDR displays, a CG437K (HDR1000), a Aorus FV43U (HDR1000), a Vizio M437Go (480 nits)(replaced by the FV43U just today) and a Samsung Q90T TV (HDR 10, HDR 10+, 1400nits). The CG437K was contrast 6 and brightness 1050, The FV43U was Contrast 1 and Brightness 1000. TV was contrast 3 and brightness1400 and everything look about the same on the 3 1000nits+ displays. The only strange behavior was on the Vizio M437Go, That display maxed out at about 480 nits and yet I have to set brightness to over 2000 to get the logo to disappear and I did notice that things seems a bit darker than the other 3 while in game. If your brightness calibration is over 1000, try bringing it back down and see if it gets brighter in game.
