Error Message "Failed to find default engine .ini file to retrieve My Documents"
Error message window appears before starting the game " Failed to find default engine .ini file to retrieve My Documents subdirectory to use. Force quitting".

It seems the game can't access or create the Game folder under "Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect".
That can be because of "Controlled folder access" of the Windows Defender, a third party virus scanner blocking the operation, or missing permissions.
- Run Origin and the game as administrator.
- If it don't works, look if "Controlled folder access" in the Windows Defender is active, and if so disable it or create a exception for ME1 and Origin.
- If it is not that, deactivate the virus scanner for testing purpose. If it works, create a exception for ME1 and Origin.
