@nerdsrus45Let me know the list and I'll see about setting up a new thread with it and just linking to this thread for reference. The audio issues and lighting issue on Voeld REALLY need to be fixed those two things alone make MEA look like a broken amateur hour mess. Does patch 1.1 do anything outside of what is mentioned in the blog? If not, Bioware might as well of kept patch 1.1 as it does a whole lot of nothing really.
I stopped playing because of the bugs / issues that still exist:
Here is a complete list of what I have so far.
Good Luck:
MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA LIST OF ISSUES (1.10)
- Fix Full Screen loading. It is black and player has to do ALT+TAB to see the loading screen. This should be fixed.
- Falling through the map is not acceptable, at all. This needs to be fixed.
- Fix the Galaxy Map properly hitting a button EVERY TIME to skip animations is monotonous. Just put a option in one of the game menus to turn them off already.
- FACIAL EXPRESSION/MOUTH: When speaking, the inside of characters’ mouth looks like there is glitter in there. Facial expressions and mouth movement looks as if they are all sucking on a lemon.
- When the Tempest lands on a planet, and Ryder wants to board, there should be the option of staying on the planet inside the ship, or leave the planet. It would be nice to look out the window on the Tempest and see the planet’s surface. (Yes, requires some work, but should only take a month or so of programming). This way Ryder can make Vid-calls without having to return to a place just to deliver news. Or talk to Tann, or others on the Nexus, or run Research/Development. It’s stupid to always launch into space.
- When the Nexus is first boarded, and Ryder is going around talking to everyone, if you go by a guard, he starts to crouch, as if he is going to fight. There is NO ONE to fight.
- In the office where Kesh is at, there is a data pad that is always there. It doesn’t “go away” after reading it. It should go away. As a matter of fact, any data pad read should “go away” once read.
- If an NPC has been talked to (eg: bar tender) and there is nothing more to say, the icon that indicates someone to talk to should go away. There is no need for it unless there is additional quest.
- Speaking of the bar tender(s): When I have delivered plants, there is no conversation. Once all plants/food items delivered, the “talk to” icon should disappear.
- When Ryder brings ingredients to the bar, the “Rotten Scoundrel” is an empty-air glass.
- The “broadcast news” when in the tube should have more than just a few entries. Would suggest making announcements of Ryder’s achievements, or other types of news; maybe side quest from Ryder.
- I find it stupid that everyone that Ryder talks to plays with their OmniTool. Have them do something different, like close-ups, or have them point to the screen if they are “showing” Ryder something.
- Almost all Asari look the same. Take Asari from the first three Mass Effect games; every Asari looks different.
- All life forms are the same on every planet. That – scientifically speaking – is flat impossible. Someone at EA dropped the ball on this one. For example, on Kadara, there is no way some of these animals can survive with that much sulfur in the water; they would be dead. Get some better graphics designers that can actually create a variety of animals for the game. Some friendly, some not so friendly, others dangerous. This should include plants and animals.
- Anan T’Mari – black Asari? Really? Every Asari I’ve ever seen is blue at least.
- After drinking the Lucky Leprechaun and passing out, Ryder should be able to talk to the bar tender and say something about the drink.
- Why do the Angara look just like the Salarians?
- Unable to complete Station Sabotage. Scanning Pathfinder Hall and junction near jail is not working.
- In Ryder’s room, should be able to “sleep”.
- In Ryder’s room, there is the mockup of the galaxy map. Make it usable.
- Destroy Kett Base – Secured Storage: Bug – doors are not unlocked.
- Make talking to anyone easier. Unless you’re in the right spot, it’s hard to get the “talk” icon.
- Should not have to use Omni-Tool to unlock doors you have previously entered. This is especially true on Kadara.
- When buying/selling materials (be it on the Nexus or Tempest) there should be a way to type in the number rather than using the up/down arrow key options.
- When talking to refugees, option should be given to argue with Tann to bring the Refugees back to the Nexus.
- Get antibiotic to refugee that is sick during side quest to get antenna right so that one of the refugees on Kadara can call her mother on the Nexus.
- Unable to Give Medicine from "Herbal Entrepreneurs" to Doctor for the Nexus refugees (this is the one where you have to align the satellite so that the Asair can talk to her mother that is still on the Nexus.
- When talking to Christmas Tate (what a name) he is too dark.
- Kadara’s Ransom: Got the data pads, but when I scan the bodies at the final site, I get SAM telling me there is an additional pad, but no pad can be found.
- After completing the viability for Kadara, why can’t the Tempest land at the new outpost?
- The Black Hole is nice, but scientifically, anything near it would be ripped to shreds, including planets.
- More interest in the Scourge should be able to be explored. Ryder should be able to fire “missiles” at it to see if it explodes. More emphasis should be places on this playable item.
- Once I go into the Galaxy Map, I can’t back out (at least that I have found a way to). This option should be given.
- When buying Quilloa Seeds, the Angara is pushing “buttons” that are not there. Fix this – stupid to let this through.
- Not everyone needs to be decked out in space suites. A variety of clothing should be done. Like Ambassador Rialla. Why is she wearing gloves? Come on, EA/Bioware programmers, let’s use some imagination.
- Saalro, who is thinking of moving to the Nexus, is working with NOTHING in his hands on a ship that has nothing opened. Come on, EA/Bioware, this is lame.
- There should be certain task that have to be done in a timely fashion, or Ryder fails for that task, changing the outcome of the game. Like the Travel To Prodromos because an impending attack. That should be done right away, instead of Ryder taking off doing another task.
- On the Nexus, there is the guy on the top level of the docking area that keeps repeating the same thing about all his engineering school was wasted. Should be fixed to say it once and then let it go.
- Why is the player view distance longer than what the HUD can pick up? It’s messed up. At least mark points of interest on the map like ME1 did otherwise the player is just blindly stumbling about on the map. Go look how Mass Effect 1 did it. Those guys got it right first time so it’s not like you even have the excuse you had no examples to look at...
- WHY isn't a single main plot point made out to be so important in the game ever explained by the end of the game? I counted SIX major plot points, you explain none of them.
- Why are the Rokaar (or however their name is spelt) using Milky Way weapons and not Angora? You dropped the ball on this one Bioware. (Explanation on this one: The weapons were stolen when the Milky Way folks showed up. This should be explained in the game instead of leaving the player wondering.)
- Why does female Ryder wear the nasty outfit of the male Ryder? She should have more form fitting clothes. Look at MA 1 & 2 & 3 – they got it right. Give player more options for clothing for female Ryder.
- What happened to seeing the Nexus grow and develop as we were promised? Shunting a few boxes out of the way and clearing up some clutter here and there does not count.
- NPCs being completely oblivious to your doings in the world, often shouting at you as you run by or when you try talking to them about things you have long since solved.
- "Development" of outposts, or lack thereof. Whenever there's a colony development item that happens, we should get an Email about it requiring acknowledgement and a visit to the colony before it can expand again, possibly with special events. IE if Dunn survives the crash & you max out Eos, have Bradley invite you to dinner to celebrate & see Dunn helping him cook dinner before your arrival shocks her and makes her blush while running her mouth at 10,000mph to please keep it a secret for now. Also, at least make it so the player can choose what type of outpost is made for each settlement.
- Audio issues and lighting issue on Voeld REALLY need to be fixed those two things alone make MEA look like a broken amateur hour mess.
- Why isn’t the Garson mystery ever solved? No one is the murderer?
- Once Aksuul is defeated, there should not be so many run-ins with the Roekaar. As they are defeated on each planet, the spawn rate should drop.
- What is the deal with Lt. Sajax on Nexus? Is she just there or should there be a mission with this?
- Once several items have been gotten for the bar on Nexus, Ryder can’t order more drinks. Ryder should always be able to order drinks from a list of drinks she has had.
- On various planets, the Remnant bots are stuck in walls. Collision is bad in a lot of areas.
- When Ryder drinks at any bar, make it look more like drinking. The graphics part of the drinking really suck.

I fully agree with all of that, although the "explanation" for the rokaar using MW weapons is pretty weak. They may of been stolen, but why then would they use weapons inferior to what they already have? Anyone that has used angaran weapons know how OP they are. Speaking of which, the angara weapons and Dhan shotgun need balancing once you get those weapons all others become obsolete pretty much.
In another bout of bad news (though I can't say its not deserved) the team that worked on andromeda have all been disbanded and absorbed in to other Bioware projects so it will be a miracle if we get another 3-4 patches for andromeda (which it definitely needs) to at least clean up most of the mess.- 9 years ago
There has been talk that no more Mass Effect is going to be around.
I think this last game did them in- 9 years ago
Mass Effect will be back, especially with Casey Hudson back on board. Just don't be surprised if we don't see a new ME game for 8 years or more. Plenty of time for modders to fix the mess the montreal team left behind I suppose.
