Face importing from mass effect 1--->2--->3 wrong face imported

My characters face doesn't even look the same going from me2 to me3, but from me1 to me2 it transfers over good. When is this going to be patched and if it isn't it should be a priority(it's like switching actors half way through a movie). I don't think its possible to recreate exactly what my female Sheppard looks like and I shouldn't have too because it is very time consuming. Bottom line it shouldn't of been released with such a flaw(it's before the game even starts) I would of rather waited a year more for the release when this issue was fixed.

This was a big problem/issue a year ago at first release.

They patched it as soon as they could (1.02)

    http://social.bioware.com/page/me3-patches

(FYI, patch 1.01 was packaged up and going through approval process before the game was released)

It has now been a full year and Mass Effect 3 no longer has support or future patches coming up.

You can get your face code from Mass Effect 2 and input it manually in Mass Effect 3 for a better approximation, or you have to redo it from scratch, sorry.

The reason this happened, was an engine change in the way Shepard is drawn in Mass Effect 3.  Some features are just not compatible and s/he just looks different.

Personally, one Shepard transferred just fine, the other did not at first, but after some patches and Face Code copy, I got something acceptable.

i think they re probably should never released mass effect one on ps3 because if you import your made shepard to the end all your work will be lost and we also get an incomplete version, ps3 don't have the pinacle station dlc. i can only  think in about on two options, use the standard shepard through all of three games or simply start from the second one and then importing the character to mass effect 3, i tried once and the import  works just fine.

i really don't understand why bioware did this to us ps3 consumers, we have waited years for this opportunity but in the end all we just receive is a bad port with sound bugs, some npcs vanishing during a conversation, one less dlc and a bad frame rate in some uncharted worlds woundering around with mako i hope when next gen consoles comes up bioware offers a better suport on playstation 4.

The source code for pinnacle station was corrupted and couldn't be ported to PS3. But honestly, you're not missing much, it doesn't even add a single bit to the story.

i had the same problem but i found a solution to add to those before i've posted earlier today. i just loaded my character from mass effect 2 on mass effect 3 when the game ask the player to import you can fix the wrong details in my case was just the hair color and the nose when you finish just continue normaly you will not loose your past records from the other games even if you change the face entirely. i like the idea because if you want to change a little bit your face or everything you can do it.
