Feint or no Voice sounds

Question

I am having an issue with my voice sounds in game.. it is only this game no others. my computer is new and up to date, with all new hardware. if you need specs ask. but I haven't even moved past the intro scene because I can barely hear anything.. I'm sorry but If I buy a game that is supposed to be fully developed. I want my moneys worth. not some Beta staged sound quality.

I don't hear anybody speaking in the very first intro. I only know they speak because I have subtitles turned on. I have looked through all my own hardware and updated everything, which wasn't much to update as is. I have optimized everything I can. Nothing is working. so please.. tell me something I do not know.. something in the config file I can add.. or take out or change.. whatever I would just like to play the game I bought. not have it sit there.

Hey, by any chance is your system set up with a surround sound output? If so, and you're using stereo hardware this could be a factor. Voices will play through the "centre" speaker, so if this is absent voices will be very very faint/missing.

I agree with David. Dialog comes through the central speaker. If the game outputs surround sound to a stereo speaker setup (or headphones), you only hear the feint echoes of dialog through the left and right speakers.

There's no option to disable surround sound in ME3 because it should normally adapt to your Windows settings. In Windows, go to your playback devices and configure your audio output device. Make sure it's set to stereo.
