Female Shepard clothing

Hi EA,

first, i want to say that i like the Mass Effect LE and i really like it that you put some effort into the fem shepard. The only thing i want to ask... is it possible, that you add the clothes of Ashley Williams in ME3 or Miranda Lawson in the N7 colour to the game for Fem Shepard? It would add a big female touch to the game because the most animations and clothes are made for the male Shepard.

There are mods who do such things but only for PC and not for the consoles. If you not want to do this, is there a way that you implement the option for the console that the players can use mods as well like Bethesda Games did in the Skyrim remake or Fallout 4?

I think the female clothes could be a good thing in future ME games as well.

Keep up the good work 🙂

I see where you coming from, but Imho it is very unlikely that Bioware will ad such features.

It is time consuming and would need extensive testing.

This games where never Mod friendly, not even on PC.

Yea, even as a guy, I find it annoying that no casual clothing really fits a female Shepard.

Casual 1 and Casual 4 (the two "regular" Alliance uniforms) are sort of okay, but even those are weird because of the shoulder pads. I like the N7 hoodie, but it kinda breaks immersion for me, so I don't use it...

    Hi Holger1405,

well the idea with the mods was just something i had in mind... The best option would be, if Bioware add the clothes by themself imo. It would compensate the lack of some animations and actions... and it's not only in ME, but in Dragon Age as well...

But it is still nice to have all 3 games and addons in 1 package with better graphics though.

The clothes are made for different body models, so this would also mean they would have to put some serious work into it.

So I am afraid this will also not happen.

I don't think so. If u look at all 4 games... Ashley, Miranda, Jack, Cora in Andromeda and so on, female npc's look female in all stages, but all playable fem mc's don't... Bioware knows how to make fem characters they just need to do this with the mc.

If they make a game and say, the mc is female with option of a male mc, they would put more effort in the creation.

But ur right, i don't think they would do this.

Pretty sad actually, because it would help (hopefully) future ME and Dragon Age games as well.

I agree with the clothing but i know it would likely never happen tho since it'll be time consuming, what i do want like 100% to be done is the animations for Female Shepard, the way she runs, sits, walk it's basically all Male animations, it's just annoying and pisses me off, like i'm using the casual clothes i think 5 (the dress one) and she sits in couches with legs wide open like a male Shepard, why not make her sit like Liara or any of the other female character like crossing her legs which would be the realistic thing to do.

It wont hurt to put the female characters animation into the female version of Shepard, they are already there all they need to do is just put them on the Female Shepard.

Yep! Only the most patient and die hard modders make mods for armors/clothing/body aesthetics for the ME series for PC. I still think the hi-res mods made for ME1 are still better than the ones in the MELE and I haven't played on a PC in 7 years (long story to that and now waiting for hardware supplies to get back to normal). Bioware changed modding after Dragon Age: Origins where they released an official toolset for the game. It was very extensive and I can see how much time it took to create that.

One can't compare it to Bethesda because the Creation kit mod program as it's just a beefed up version of what was on games before Skyrim (then known as the Construction Set), and they just keep beefing it up so there was flow to modding. Bioware used a completely different graphics engine and woud have to build a whole new toolset besides testing it on the various platforms.

    @Tommy6860

DAO was released 2 years after ME1 so imho the politics regarding modding was different for ME1 from the get go.

The main problem are not simple texture mods, even Texmod worked good for that, so replacing textures is fairly easy, but injecting something into the games that is not a texture and is not already present was and is really complicated.

Its gets even more complicated because ME3 had a complete overhaul in regards to lightning, meshes, animations and so on.

Your reply was non sequitur when going by all of the previous comments.

Well i didn't say i want something new... They could add the same clothes, that are already in the game to shepards wardrobe, but in the colours of the Alliance or N7... Personally, that would be enough for me.
