FPS stutter on new gaming laptop.

Have you updated your graphics drivers since you bought the laptop?

I have the same exact ASUS laptop. Works amazing with Dragon age Inquisiton but I have the exact same problem as you. Im also getting FPS stutters every 5 seconds or so. Everything is updated. Were you able to fix it?

I have not been able to fix it.  I am hoping it is an nvidia driver issue and will be sorted out with the new driver.  I haven't tried an older driver.

I literally just bought the same laptop and am having the same exact issue.  I've tried a few different things to no avail.  Other, newer, more graphics intense games run just fine.  This problem is specific to ME3.  

Hey guys, I own the same G751JT laptop as well, and I too have the same issue as you all. Other games (Titanfall for example) work perfectly fine. Regardless of resolution, graphics settings (such as all set to off) Origin overlay disabled, nothing seems to mitigate the issue even the slightest. I was really hoping to play mass effect over the holidays... ☹️

Hopefully Nvidia will fix this, or at least EA will get their attention. I know some people said they had similar issues with laptops with Optimus technology. Maybe the 900 series battery optimization is interfering in a similar way? 

edit: btw the driver update 347.09 did not fix it. 

Do you all have Nvidia graphics cards?

Uninstall your graphics driver and install an older one. Not just the previous version, try and dig really deep.

I used to have issues like this very often with Nvidia, which is why I eventually went to a different GPU manufacturer. I had a driver version written down for Mass Effect 1 that I knew worked perfectly, and I rolled back to this version whenever I wanted to do another playthrough. This wasn't just for this one game, I've had many driver related issues with my Nvidia hardware when trying to run older games.

Wow... I bought the exact same laptop just before Thanksgiving, and it did the exact same thing. The first game I installed was ME3 and I got the FPS stutter. Well, if a week goes by that I don't play that game, call the cops cause I'm trapped under my refrigerator or something.

After fiddling with it for a couple days and deciding that a brand new out of the box lappy should not have me troubleshooting it, and should not leave me playing  Russian roulette with the idea that it might get fixed, or that the issue would not affect other games, I returned it to the shop and got an AW18.

Though it was not my first choice, I have been happy with it and it never gave the problem. It's got a different Nvidia card (dual 860Ms), but I think the same driver.
