From Ashes Dlc: Javik Bug, sequence trigger fail. German Intsall vers.

Hey community, even tho ME3 isnt very up to date, I just strated to play all 3 parts for the very first time.

As I am impressed by the whole story and the narratives, I would like to share my experiences

with problems which I encountered and was able to solve. It is form importance that everyone who plays this game shouldnt be bothered with technical obstacles. So here we go, Ill keep it as informative as possible just like Mordin 🙂

Plattform: win7 Ultimate 64bit / Origin

Edition: ME Trilogy, DLC: From Ashes

Version: 1.55

Installation version: German

Problem:

After rescueing Javik on eden Prime you encounter him on the normandy.

During this cutscene Javiks dialog stops at some point and doesnt continue.

Probably there is some scripting bug on german version which inactivates the trigger for the next sequence.

You are stuck on  Javiks face that is actually still in ctuscene mode.

There is no way to quit the game, it is not possible to open the menu.

Attempts:

Skip cutscene: No Option

Restart Mission: Fail

Different dialogue options: Fail

Repair game/DLC: Fail

Unisntall/ Reinstall: Fail

Solution:

1. Switch  language of ORIGIN from German to Englisch:

a) Click the Origin tab then

b) chose "Application Settings" and

c) select US English then

2. Go to "My Games"

a) rightclick on ME3 and

b) select "repair game"

After the gamedata are reloaded and your game is ready, you can resume and it might work.

I say might, coz i cant confirm that its working in any case but I tried everything, before I came up with this idea.

Cheers

  • I had the problem, too, but couldn't change the language without killing the game first. So I wanted to avoid that and tried a bit.

My solution was then pressing the spacebar, as if I wanted to skip the dialogue. After that the dialogue did continue as normal again.

    Hello @Llynya687

And thank you for sharing your solution for this issue. I guess you are also replaying the original trilogy to prepare for Mass Effect: Andromeda?

    Cheers,

    Archi
