FxMaxximus - My contribution to Answers HQ for Mass Effect Andromeda
What I think of MEA
Wasn't ME 1-3
Movement and combat was better than all ME's
ME1-3 felt a lot grittier than MEA but the textured overlays of MEA were far superior than ME1-3 (dirt, mud, rain)
The characters were not well developed in MEA in contrast to relatable acceptance of them.
ME1-3 music composition was absolutely better than MEA although MEA's score was decent and better than your british movie (where musical thematics are non-existent in reproductions)
MEA resolved nothing and introduced little in the way of new sci-fi. Felt more akin to DAI than DAO.
Moving to another galaxy is good but leaving the Milky Way with nothing to show for it (either new mass relays for economic reasons) just left me bitter.
MEA left no impression on me other than it won't continue. That the Milky Way in all its 500 billion stars has nothing left to hold and the Andromeda of 1 trillion stars is somehow going to blow that all away. Just don't know where they are going with it.
There was no Krogran female human male romance which I thought was terrible. I can understand the dynamics could be extremely opposing but would have been fun nonetheless
I'm very disappointed that the histories of existing species was never EVER truly explored.
The on-planet Tempest model DID NOT match the actual size of the interior. That's actually pretty disappointing.
MEA is behaving exactly like SWTOR.. completely outside the realm of their respective realities and that makes me seethe. For instance (spoiler) the Remnant are eerily similar to the Reapers and some weapons actually make the Reaper sound (which is pretty sweet but confusing).
I love MEA multiplayer but would have preferred a battlefield/battlefront equivalent where I had my own character in the ME1-3 world.
My expectations of future BioWare games is significantly diminished.
