Game minimises with HDR enabled

Since the patch on Monday I have been having issues with the game where the launcher works just fine but when going into one of the games the game loads but after the splash screen it force minimises. Maximising it will have the screen flash black and audio play for a few second before minimising it again.

I am pretty certain all the drivers are up to date, Game cache verified each day when it happens, tried after restarting the system, tried with all overclocks removed (not that any issues are experienced with the OCs applied). Knowing some games, especially with HDR enabled, aren't happy with having other monitors turned on I have also tried playing with all other monitors not only turned off but completely unplugged from the computer.

A couple of times I have managed to get the games to run by turning off HDR in display settings and the game being happy with it when it then forces HDR back on, but for the most part once the game turns HDR back on it then exhibits the described behaviour. So far the only way I have found with 100% reliability to be able to play is to use a non-HDR monitor to change the HDR settings in game from Auto to off and then it works on the HDR monitor (I am sure I could do this in config files too if I wanted but via a non HDR monitor is how I did it).

Is this a known problem with the only reliable solution until it is patched being to just not use HDR or is there some way to play with HDR enabled as the game is currently?
