Game Will Not Start After Install

 Digitally downloaded Mass Effect 2 for the PC. Here is my computer information.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Card name: ATI Radeon HD 2400
Description: Speakers / Headphones (SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC)
Driver Version: 6.10.5511.0000 (English)
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_gdr.100218-0019)
DirectX Version: DirectX 10

I recently digitally downloaded this game, and after installation every time I attempt to start the game, the following appears after pressing play on the startup screen -

AWC.dll

The game cannot launch because of a misconfiguartion. Please reinstall your game and try again.

I followed these instructions, and attempted to start the game again, receiving the same message each time I try and start the game.

    It's not going to make a bit of difference how or what you do, until you replace the HD 2400 with a video graphics card meeting the game minimum.

                        ME2

    PC MINIMUM System Requirements
    OS = Windows XP SP3 / Windows Vista SP1 / Windows 7
    Processor = 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD CPU
    Memory = 1 GB RAM for Windows XP / 2 GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7
    Hard Drive = 15 GB
    DVD ROM = 1x Speed
    Sound Card = DirectX 9.0c compatible
    Direct X = DirectX 9.0c August 2008 (included)
    Input = Keyboard / Mouse
    Video Card = 256 MB (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support). Supported GPU Cores: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or greater(**); ATI Radeon X1600 Pro or greater. Please note that NVIDIA GeForce G.205, G.210, 310, 7100, 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, 9100, 9200, and 9300, also (probably) GT 520/610; ATI Radeon X1300, X1550, HD 2400, 3100, 3200, HD 3450, HD 3470, HD 4200, HD 4250, HD 4350, HD 4380, 4550, and (probably) HD 6370 are below minimum system requirements. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required. Intel  and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.

    (**)Two of the Geforce 6800s are worse than the next-lower Geforce game card, the 6600 GT, and should be avoided (6800 SE, 6800 XT).

    Can you personally suggest a driver that would work with my computer and match or exceed the minimum requirements?

    "Driver" is software, and in general, they have no cost associated with them.  What budget are you going to have to meet?  It's entirely possible the total will exceed your available surplus amount of funds.

    This card here, at $120, with free shipping, is the first half, only:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129259

    You still need a good enough power supply to match to it, such as this one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017

    That one is on sale now, and also has a $10 mail-in rebate offer, so only $50.

    You haven't responded to the comment about a shopping budget.  For another option, one that barely squeaks in as a gaming card, but is considerably less costly, here is another:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127611

    That one is $55 plus $7 shipping, and depending on the existing power supply now included in your PC, may be usable on a stock system.  Tell us what power supply you have, everything on its label, for us to verify that for you.
