In the new trilogy release of mass effect, will the previous two versions have their gameplay improved to the smoothness of mass effect 3? Will there be any new cut scenes or new story content?
As they described it, it seems that nothing is gonna change, so we just have to wait until people test it.
The only things we can be curious, is how Mass Effect 1 will be on PS3 compared to every other platform.
i believe mass effect is going to use the same engine from mass effect 3 like they did on the second game because is the latest version off it and also because the engine from the first game is very old to use it now.
The games will not be altered. The only change is that they enhanced performance in the PS3 version of ME1, but we'll see soon enough how much better it is.

Before the PS3 release of ME2, BioWare said that it would run on the PS3 engine. This is only true because ME2 and ME3 run on the same engine on all platforms, but their wording implied new technology for the PS3 version, which isn't true. Someone from BioWare later commented on the forums that ME2 on PS3 isn't really a new engine, but that during the porting process they applied some minor tweaks that they later introduced in ME3 as well.
New engine or not, ME2 on PS3 is pretty much identical to the Xbox 360 version.
