I already have the newest Origin-Version and downloaded the whole game files once again. I really don't know what is the cause of this GDF Error. All files are in place so there is no reason for an error. Very annoying. Spend couple of hours in solving this matter :-/
BTW the same error occurs in BF 3 - but this has a very low priority at the moment.
Run Origin as Administrator. > test the installation again.
If that don't works, I would suggest to create a folder named "Origin Games" in the root of your D drive.
- Set the "Game Library" to that folder. (In Origin, menu top left corner > Origin > Application settings > Installs & Saves > On your computer > Game library location > navigate to the "Origin Games" folder > apply.)
- close Origin completely.
- rename the "Mass Effect 3" game folder under "BigGames3" to "ME3".
- Start Origin and start the download of ME3 > pause the download after 30 seconds.
- Copy all files from inside the "ME3" folder into the newly created "Mass Effect 3" folder inside the "Origin Games" folder. (override) / (So you don't need to download everything again.)
- Start Origin as Administrator > Game Library > ME3 > Download > Origin will verify the data and should install the game properly.

Interesting solution. But ... it doesn't work. Why should that anything change if I rename some folders?
Only difference is the other folder names in the InstallLog.txt:
11:18:46 Installing GDF ...
11:18:46 Installing D:\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\GDFBinary_de_DE.dll ...
11:18:46 Alternate GDF game name Mass Effect 3
11:18:46 IGameExplorer2 for windows 7
11:18:47 ERROR: Windows IGameExplorer2 is unable to InstallGame (80070005)
11:18:47 GameExplorerInstall returns 80070005
11:18:47 ERROR: Failed to install 'D:\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\GDFBinary_de_DE.dll' for install path 'D:\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\'
11:18:47 Failed to install GDF
11:18:47 Installer finished with exit code: 3
11:18:47 Shutting down data reader.I will undone this, because this folder-architecture is not in my interest and the error must be anywhere else.
Bevore this error I have got a problem with the "DirectX-Phase". The installation aborted there. But I could fix this.
Furthermore there is an entry in the InstallLog that could be helpful:
11:18:32 Processing EAIN file 'D:\ORIGIN~1\MASSEF~1\__INST~1\Touchup.dat'.
11:18:32 Installation registry missing. Game not yet installed.Maybe it would be anything changed if I manually add these entries? What are these?

Because this is most probably a permissions error and creating a new directory by hand under your account was wohrt a try.
I assume you use Windows 10 1607 as OS because I heard of this error most often on this version.
I am pretty sure that installing the game to your C drive would work without problems, if you could test this it would help to isolate the problem.
If you use a diffrent OS or OS version create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
