Hi! My Mass Effect 2 game has a major bug on Haestrom while recruiting Tali. The gate beyond the two geth primes and the geth drones won't open, so I'm pretty much stuck! I've restarted both my game and my computer several times but nothing helps!
Ps. I'm referring to the door with a large vehicle pointed to it.
If you play on PC, you can edit your config file so you're able to walk through doors.

There has to be a patch upcoming to fix it!!!
This game is from 2010 so after all that time it has to work properly.
The descripcions are written in english and i'm not so good in that language.
So i don't understand everything.

I do hope they fix it even if I create a new career or whatever nothing works. That door in the geth drone room has no interface there is just no way to progress. I believe a game update caused this serious bug because it used to work fine.
Ok. So I know this was originally posted years ago, but I found a solution. I wasn't into Mass Effect style of games in 2013, but I am now and bought the whole trilogy to play. Here is how you get past the door. Go to this link and follow the instructions under the "Cheats" section.

I personally went to the BioWare link to download the file. This allows you to use the console. When the whole process under "Cheats" is done, open up Mass Effect 2 and go to the door. Now open the console and type "ToggleFlycam". Fly through the door. There will be some screen tearing and some nasty stuff going on. That is expected. Now in the center of the grey void you can see through the window should be a colossus. Fly to it and open the console again and type "KillEnemies." The colossus should explode along with some other enemies. Some enemies will still be standing in this void, that is ok. Now type in the console "ToggleFlycam" and you should be on the other side of the door still. Type "Ghost" in the console and walk through the door. Type "Walk" in the console and you should be on the other side of the door but still seeing the void. Now walk to the door to the left and open it. To the right of the door and down should be a guy. Type "Ghost" in the console and fly over to him and talk to him there. Then type "Walk" and it should drop you into the world with models and textures now present. If it doesn't, try dropping with "Walk" in different places.
nice one, i ran into that bug too ... and i didnt wanted to restart the whole game to check if the bug appears again.
i tried it without the kill enemies cause i kinda wanted to fight against the boss. you can trop with "walk" down next to the boss. it will load the world in but ... even if it happens and ya find the right spot for that is it not worth it to find a spot cause all the enemys will just stand there including the boss. you need to use the killenemies command or else you wont be able to open the door to tali x3
ohwell, it was the experimenting worth. idk what EA did there or what in thee hell causes this bug cause i seen on playtroughs on YT that others had not the problem BUT!!! they had already other characters which i didnt had yet at all. so it might be a bug that peoples do the mission too early? and the game is like "nope, you arent supposed to be here yet D=" or something like that XD?

i assume many peoples will run now into this bug since bioware gave the game out for free on origin ^^
Good try. I tried some other methods before I posted my comment, but none worked. My ongoing hypothesis is that some of the drones are flying into walls, that or their deaths are not registering. I tried using the killall command in the main section where the bug takes place, but nothing changed. It must be something with clocked drones registering their deaths.
