How do I rid my ME3 game of mods I installed years ago?
I was convinced to make a bunch of mods to my ME3 multiplayer, which seemed like fun at first, by a player who guided me through the changes. Later, I became leery of this player, call him Player X, for reasons I'd rather not say. So much so that I stopped playing Multiplayer more than two years ago. I have no idea how to undo the mods except maybe uninstall and reinstall ME3. The ME series of games is the only series of games I play, and I've got stuff: many characters, weapons, credits, ammo, bonuses, etc, I don't want to lose.
If I just uninstall and reinstall the ME3 game, will this:
1) get rid of all the mods
2) let me keep all my "stuff"
Is there something I should save before doing this, to retain my stuff?
I'm considering changing my username and email address so that "Player X" doesn't see I'm online and start dogging me again.
Suggestions? Recommendations?
Relax, you can uninstall and re-install and you won't lose any of your ME3 multiplayer "stuff". It should get rid of all the mods.
And single player files are saved in a separate (not install) folder, so they should be safe as well.
Might be best to also enable cloud saves (Origin>Application Settings>Installs & Saves>Cloud Storage)
I'm no expert, though I have installed multiple times (probably >10 by now?)
You can uninstall from Settings on the ME3 game page (gear symbol). But you might want to check that folder afterwards to ensure all is removed. Then re-install. Not sure if just a "repair" will do.
You can change your username as well, with or without changing email address. Bottom left of Origin, click your name/icon and go to "EA Accounts & Billing". Edit your "Basic Information"
