how do you get morinth as a team member
i've tried for hour after hour after hour to get morinth as a team member. did i miss something or do you have to buy it?

You have to do Samara's loyalty mission.
At the end of this mission, if you haven't screwed anything up, you'll be able to talk to Morinth in her apartment. You have to succeed in all persuasion checks (either blue paragon or red renegade options) in order for this option to appear.
