I hear no voice chat sound. ME3 PC Multiplayer

Multiplayer ME3 PC platform: I hear no voice chat sound.  I have tried all options available in Options/Sound "Voice Chat Output Device".  Can hear game sounds but not voice chat for all options.  In Lobby, speaker symbol is red for me and blue for others. Worked fine in the past. Tried all options for windows sound, Realtek sound, and Nvidia card sound.  

Also microphone doesn't work anymore.  The "Voice Chat Input Device" is not highlighted and provides no choices such as "Mic".

    I have almost the same issue, except my Mic is working, friends confirm via origin chat that they can hear me, but I cannot her them, although they CAN hear each other and I can see their mic icons activate in the lobby.

    I can hear game sounds npc voices/objective voices, my speakers and headphones work fine on other applications and I can hear other people on Skype who are using Mics but I cannot hear ME3 voice chat

    This could fix it, ggo to my documents->bioware->mass effect 3->Biogame->config       folder

    move your "gamersettings.ini" to your desktop and reload the game, all your sound settings should be reset (if this doesn't solev the issue you can always return the file to the folder)

    you can also try running the configuration tool found in:
    programfiles->origin games->mass effect 3->binaries
    run "masseffect3config"
