That is a great question. My answer would be that it benefits her to have the Kett beaten and being involved in such a massive victory further cements her power on Kadara. If I remember correctly, she lied about how thoroughly she had defeated the Kett on Kadara.
She does this, as I mentioned before, because she wants to create a since of being untouchable. It's similar to those who once called themselves God-Kings in my opinion.
In short, it benefited her to be there.
Everybody keeps saying that, I'll have to go back and replay it.
What *I* remember is her saying she's driven them from Kadara, which she has, and pretty much/wiped them off the planet, which she did. I'm not seeing a single pocket of Kett to be pointless boasting and lie. I also thought she was moving troops when we first met because she thought the Kett were being far too quiet. I don't remember her ever telling me that the Kett were completely defeated anywhere - but I do remember us both being snarky about clearing out the cave, me calling her on it and her being straight about how she was going to present it (or not).
