Currently finishing up a ME3 playthrough I never finished. I had an interesting conversation with Javik about the AI enemy of his time, the Zha'til who were taken over by a symbiote ai just like SAM....

The Archon himself demonstrated that he could force a Ryder with a symbiotic ai to do his bidding, so it is definitely not out of the realm of possibilities that another takeover similar to that of the reapers on the Zha'til could happen to the milky way races, albeit on a much smaller scale. Even one corrupted pathfinder could be bad..
I'm happy to have SAM as a "brother", but I admit I get kind of twitchy at the thought of him being in my head when I stop to think about it. Oh, well. I'm still waiting for the big reveal that the Angara are actually cylons🤓
