Inventory bug - items do not appear after adding

Hello,

I've encountered a strange inventory bug. This happened after I've capped my inventory in a mission. Even though I have since sold and converted most of my items, New ones do not add to my inventory at all. But the do not break to gel either.
I click "add items", the window disappears and I only receive exp points. That's all.

Restarting the game did not help.

Have you encountered this before? How can I fix it?

Thanks for the post @Dellanir99.

Converting your items to omni-gel seems like it would be the go-to here, but it sounds like that didn't work either unfortunately.

Do you happen to have a save file just before reaching the item cap that you could reload to see if this still happens if you break down those items before reaching the cap?
