is it worth it to buy the mass effect Legendary edition

Just wondering if should invest money into to this.

Is the game ultimately an improvement does is gameplay better...

If this is a good idea... i probably won't be getting it until next January (mainly moving August, September, or possibly October...

I don't have money to buy it at the moment, holding onto money until after the move.

(if lucky, i may be able to get it after Christmas)

  • @Psychotps I need to have everything completed too. I agree with everything you said. I also still hate the ending I want to give up after the citadel dlc

@Frogman6358 I'll likely wait until it comes out and watch a few "Let's Play"'s, just to see what's different, and... "hopefully"... improved. If it's improved enough in ME1 and 2, I'll probably get it.

Unless it's vastly different and better, chances are, it won't have much MOD support from the public. Oh, I'm sure some of the major mods will be updated for it... but the public's mostly forgotten about M.E.

If it's hardly any better, I won't bother. I'll stick with the old one with mod support.

I'm one of the people who found mass effect andromeda enjoyable, I've been live streaming my game since early March...

I look at it that it was the first bioware game to use the frostbite engine (i know people say it wasn't intended for rping.)

I admire Bioware for trying it i hope they can get it to a new level of rping

I don't view failures as bad... people learn from failures... sometimes just that they have failed.

it's not always greedy marketing practices, (that does happen from time to time)

Those people can be replaced with more responsible ones...

Bioware is a company and they all have ups and downs...

sometimes they even have to even change completely or even shut down to make a new company with new vision.

oh well enough of my stewie griffion ramble typing excuse... (just my joke for going off topic a bit (maybe more than a bit) (:P)

It's nice to know other fans of Mass Effect also enjoyed Andromeda.

You're still referring to Mass Effect - in general (despite what some people feel against Andromeda)... So you're not even really getting off topic, per se.
(As Harkin the C-Sec officer would say; "But it's all related, don't you see?") *Shudders* Ew, Harkin.
Since Mass Effect Andromeda is the most recent addition to the Mass Effect games; it doesn't require any modernization.
The previous M.E. games are older - Only the older games require Legendary edition efforts.
If Andromeda had been a few decades older - then M.E:A would probably be included in the Legendary Addition Bundle

Casey Hudson, studio GM of BioWare. “Our goal was not to remake or reimagine the original games, but to modernize the experience so that fans and new players can experience the original work in its best possible form. It’s been amazing to see the adventures of Commander Shepard take on new life in super-sharp resolution, faster framerates, and beautiful visual enhancements. As game developers, we always hope that our games will transcend their original platforms. Having the opportunity to remaster the trilogy means that the fruits of a decade of our work will live on, and will be experienced better and clearer than ever before.”

I have to wonder how many players out there, started their (M.E.) journey with solely Mass Effect Andromeda,
but who never bothered playing any of the Mass Effect games. On account of the M.E.games (prior) being ""too old to play"".
(Personally, I've happened upon maybe three or four different guys, who said the Mass Effect games were old & that they'd wished they'd played them. I can't recall if they bothered playing MEA. I'll have to check back with some of them to ask them if they since played anything Mass Effect related... & Then bring up the new Legendary Edition coming out. If I can convert more people into Mass Effect fans, I will. Lol. It will be like 'spreading the Potter' all over again, but with *space magic* this time...

I know I certainly arrived late, into a few different game titles, when I was younger.
((I entered other games within their ""3"" and ""5"" title stages - found those to be fun, then tried playing the earlier titles. Which mostly induced headaches!
Granted Mass Effect's graphics were no where near as bad as those other titles that I'm thinking of.
Young people these days have it good! So called ""Old"" games (by the new generations standards) at least have identifiable objects & models!
""Back in my day"" walking around (different & more) ancient rpgs (which used chunky pixels) was comparable to what I imagine would be a bad trip. ))
