I've only done one playthrough so far in which I romanced Peebee as FemRyder and I have to agree the romance was very underwhelming. On my next playthrough I'll probably romance Vetra or Suvi, but that playthrough will have to wait until the game gets a few more patches.
Maybe they should limit romance options and really deepen them, one for each gender and perhaps a gay option. I know many prefer the quantity over quality ... so I don´t think its going to happen.

I would rather this so much.
One good alien romance and one good human romance for each sexuality and leave it there. Then work on actually making those romances awesome.
Instead of like 3 f/m, 5 m/f, 4 f/f and 2 m/m. With only 3 out of all those possibles actually being decent.
Even it out, 2 for each, one human one alien and make those romances awesome.
[Edit] f/m didn't even get a human romance that included a sex scene this time and both human romances were very lacking. Yet m/f got 2 romances with sex scenes. m/m didn't even get a sex scene at all.
Give all romances the options of sex scenes and cut out like half of the f/f romances and m/f romances to even the field so the f/m and m/m can actually get a couple of decent ones.

Cora's is actually a better romance if she keeps her clothes on.
I suspect it will all kinda balance out over time, DLC, and game count. The original series was pretty lop sided each piece until you factored *all* of it in.

Yah thats the case sometimes. I don't need Liam to get his clothes off - but its like it goes from a ine night stand to serious - with no build up or chemistry in the middle. The aya date you get the same scan mission as everyone else, a different line or two of dialogue that hints at a date but the date is off screen. There is no kiss or anything to hint at a growing attraction.
The the 'talk' scene where it can break off, get serious or be no strings. Still not even a kiss. Just a head nod and follow me look to what I assume was probably off-screen sex. Again thst entire scene other than a couple of lines of dialogue was the same scene as everyone gets for the soccer game. You finally see a kiss later on when they actually have the last date on Eos after they are serious, there isn't even a kiss right before leaping into the fire pit of meridian just a little conversation.
How it feels is lazy, like they didn't want to do any extra animation for them at all outside of the very basics tbh when others got the whole deal. Jaal and Cora for example got romance scenes a good minute or two longer than anything Liam got if you look at the youtube vids for just romance scenes. They said the romances were supposed to be equal but they werent. Liams screen time was all the same stuff everyone else got, the romance a couple of lines dropped in at the very end with the bare minimum animation and that was it.

NO NO NO, if Bioware went that way the only f/f romances we'd get are Asari who are the most human looking aliens out of the lot
