Lagging issues in ME 3

I am trying to play Mass Effect 3 but lately it lag so much that it is downright unplayable. 

Til now i have played it for over 50 hours without issues but for some reason it now lag from startup.

Another weird thing is that when i press start and get to the menu it checks for updates and then the screen above the galactic readyness screen only rise halfway up or less.

I have tried updating my graphics drivers but that did nothing. Is there anything i can do to fix this?
