Lair of the Shadow Broker

Lair of the Shadow Broker about as much fun as sitting in a mud puddle in winter.

I am debating on whether to load a save prior to starting this quest so I can abandon it which includes Liara or finishing the stupid quest. I play for fun and this is anything but fun...

That’s surprising but, Hey, if you’re not liking it, that’s cool. So, just don’t start the quest. You don’t have to do it. Just ignore it when you’re prompted to Give Liara the Evidence. There are a couple resources you’ll gain by completing the questline that are a huge convenience but, like I said, if it’s bothering you that much, just don’t do it. Unfortunately, Mass Effect 3 has a lot of quests that are of this nature.

It’s strange that you think this quest is boring yet, running around the Citadel for thirty minutes in the beginning of Mass Effect 1 wasn’t. I’m truly just surprised, that’s all… I’ve never heard anyone say this about Lair of the Shadow Broker.

I’ve never skipped this quest so, I don’t really know how it will affect the rest of the game, especially, Mass Effect 3. I’ve also never used the quick start feature with the comic book interface. Maybe there’s a choice option there. Good luck 😃

I never said it was boring.

I said it is about as much fun as sitting in a mud puddle in winter.

Strike One: I do not like the mini-games and especially Hacking a Computer. (I have no fine movement skills in my hands)

Strike Two: I really dislike flying (driving the car through the sky) (I have no fine movement skills in my hands)

Strike Three: I really dislike combat which is over the top. This quest has it in abundance.

  • Drop difficulty down to casual and even the driving/flying part is not that hard and if you have purchased the hacking upgrade, you have a lot of time.

Ha! I hear ya on the flying part! I’m terrible at flying, racing, and I always dread when a game that appears to be all on foot thrusts you into a vehicle. I’m a great driver in real life but, in gaming, I just can’t get the feel for it and wreck all the dang time.

The hacking tool does help considerably but, to be honest, I hate the puzzle where you have to match the little nodes on a silicon board. I love the other one, though.

Ok, I can see your point. I would just ignore the whole thing, then. I just don’t know how it will affect you Mass Effect 3 play through. Good luck 👍🏻

I already play the easiest setting possible (no fine movement skills in the hands) which is why I dislike games where the combat is over the top and this quest has it in abundance.

PS. I am not a newbie to shooters.

I decided that instead of being aggravated I moved over to Fallout 76 for awhile. I play for fun and when a quest becomes nothing but aggravation it is time to move on. I have already read ahead and decided I wasn't interested in participating in the rest of Mass Effect 2. At least for the moment.
