The poor guy, so many seem to not like him. So what I want to know is who out there does like him and what you like about him..Haters can stay away please! Just Liam positive here. One thread in which he doesn't end up bashed in.. you can give us that.The first thing I thought was sweet, was Liam sleeping on the floor in SAM node right at the begining when he barely even knew Ryder. A sign of someone who cares about others no matter what.

Look at the difference in how Vetra and Liam handle misc odd side jobs of theirs.....Liam--Hey Ryder go scan this dude....dude starts to protest and maybe cause diplomatic issue....Liam says, Hey Ryder forget about it and come chill with me.....Sorry, I was just trying to steal info from them because I couldn't get them to show me, sorry, I don't think we are really in trouble..... Now Vetra, she says, Hey Ryder, I am going to um, "conduct some business with Drack's help...umm, NO, you don't really want to know but don't worry, it's "legal" on Kadara. bye.... Now what is the main differences in these?? One, Vetra gives Ryder a deniability that Liam doesn't, two, Vetra uses the skills of the team to finesse the situation, and three she still tells Ryder basically what she is going to do, not details but general idea.Liam should have told Ryder WHY the scan was necessary and risks BEFORE the scan, and could have had Vetra see if she could swing a deal.The other things is Liam has training in police work and crisis response......NOT DIPLOMACY, and his job is Security NOT building bridges between cultures. He has no listed training in doing what he was trying to do. IT WASN'T HIS JOB.....he just saw a "problem" and he wanted to "fix it" .........The PATHFINDER is the one responsible for first contact, and then after that, the NEXUS would take over diplomatic relations between the Angara and Nexus, not a fly by his pants ex-cop on an exploration team.......There are SO many things wrong with what he did, and the why he did it, that it's not even funny. Personally, if I had a choice he would be let off either on the Nexus or Kadara permanently for gross negligence and stupidity.

I like how Liam was a doer. A lot of people are scared to do and he isn't.It's not that I don't understand why people are cautious (the consequences can be dire for making the wrong decision) but Liam is an outside the box thinker who is willing to take risks and rather than just complain about things, he was trying to do something about it.If I could, I would have made him the Ambassador or whatever because he was already trying to bridge gaps without being given a title and his thinking on how to bridge those gaps was genius/brilliant sometimes. Making sure everyone had a voice mattered to him from the start. Building an understanding and healthy relationship between species already mattered to him and it mattered to him in a genuine way where he wasn't just trying to take advantage. I think alot of the hate generated in games is pseudo hate, it's pass along hate.. some video wiz says he hates this aspect of this character and everyone jumps on that bandwagon and claims the same thing.
Yeh when Liam says his memorable line, it made me burst out laughing and surely that's the aim of that line. So how can anyone hate it? Doesn't make sence. Unless they're hating it, because someone else hates it, just because.
There's actually alot of the stories that make me tearful or laugh, some really strikes a nerve, other's like alot of what Draak talks about, with parenthood etc I can draw from and identify with.

In the end, ME:A had different things for each of us, for you.. you identified with Liam, that's not a bad thing. It's normal for people to be drawn to different characters in a game like this.
Well to me, there is a big, huge difference between hating on a character for the sake of hating on them then having actual valid reasons for disliking certain aspects of a character.
So yeah, as far as I'm concerned the haters can.. bugger off.. but anyone willing to hold a reasonable conversations fine 🙂.
Besides I know plenty who hate him, I'm interested in knowing who actually likes him.
My last thread was very specific about what I thought was missing from Liam's romance, the conversations there may have veered off at times but ultimately that's what that thread was about ( pretty much the lack of romance in his romance 🤔🤔🤔). Totally different.
I do find it interesting that most who weren't fussed on Liam, also disliked Kaidan (my other romance fav 😀😀😀). Even though they are quite different characters.

Give me naked women anytime..actually, I sent Ashley the first time, then she died.. and I restarted.. and sent "kaiden".. sod that btw.. not having my gf die and be the hero.. you can't sleep with someones ashes.. well you could, but that'd get messy. Definitely need a shower after a night like that..

Side topic this has nothing to do with Liam. just a general comment on what you mentioned.

Whilst I do agree that not every one likes a comedy or a drama. It's still the quality of the show that counts. Eg I personally prefer action flicks, braveheart, lord of the rings type movies. I dont really like the really serious movies, but when I watched shawshank redemption and schindler list, they were extremely well made movies and I loved them. They may not rate as high as a lord of the rings movie on my scale of movies that I like, but I do respect the art and quality of the movie. Linking this back to ME/MEA, it's not a matter of whether or not the character's more for me or not, if its a personification of a character that's my polar opposite and I dislike everything about this character and what this character stands for, but the quality of scripts are well written and voice acting is great(eg illusive man) then it will be a great character! Consistency is also another item, whilst no script is perfect and you can also find one of 2 things about the original trilogy that may make you cringe, it is not consistently bad. Let's just say if I have a cringe counter, I have cringed a lot more recently than I did when I played the trilogy.

Found out much later that BroShep could have a go with him too, it became an option in ME3... So if you romanced him and saw him looking at Jacob during the party... Now you know lol...

LOL... You do know she's called Ash right? LOLOL.... She's got to be pretty radioactive though... Anyway for human gals, I preference in the previous trilogy was Miranda, god she's hot, too little airtime though, Liara's got the most airtime but I like Tali's personality.
