Low FPS after new hard drive

As per the title, my FPS for ME2 is very low when I run the game (anywhere between 18-25 FPS usually). I've had the game for nearly a year, and every single time I've played it prior, it would run si...

    Okay, I managed to solve my problem by myself. If anyone else is having similar issues, this is what I did (Nvidia GPU):

    1. Open up the Nvidia Control Panel (right-click on the shortcut of the game for faster access, then mouse over "run with graphics processor", click on "change default graphics processor"

    2. in "Manage 3d Settings", click on "MassEffect2.exe" under where it says "Select a program to customize".

    3. Click Add. It should open up your Libraries at this point. Go to your game folder (C:/Program Files (x86)/Origin Games/ Mass Effect 2/Binaries). Double click "ME2Game" to add that to the default launch.

    4. Where it says "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program", click on the dropdown menu and select High-performance Nvidia processor. Click Apply to finalize changes and it should work.

Have you updated your graphics driver since you got the new hard drive? That's one possible explanation for a performance hit after a hard drive swap.
