Mass Effect 1 Error "Origin is not installed"

Hello

I installed Mass Effect 1 yesterday. When I try to run it (from Origin) I get an error telling me "Origin is not installed and is required to play your game".

I don't think it's an issue with Origin as I can run other games (tried with Titanfall and ME2),

I'm on Windows 8.1 Pro, 64bit.
