Mass Effect 1. Finding Liara T'soni on Artemis Tau. Can't input code into mining laser to free Liara or escape location

Help please, I can't input code into mining laser on pc keyboard

When you play (normally outside of the mini-game) are you using the mouse and keyboard or are you using game controller?

Hi, thanks for getting back. I am using a keyboard and mouse (mac) playing PC game (via bootcamp) on Windows Vista.
