Mass Effect 1 save won't import

Question

&nbsp;I bought the Trilogy, finished the first game, and went to play the second one. However, it will not let me import my saved character from the first, regardless of whether or not the data is saved on the cloud storage provided by Origin. I checked my files, and the saved data is definitely still there. I have absolutely no idea what's going on. Please help?

After playing playing through mass effect on my xbox one and xbox 360 and connecting the game save through xboxs cloud storage system, i cannot import an me1 character for mass effect 2 through the cloud as i does not acknowledge i have a character. I do not wish to start a new character as that would waste a lot of hard work. Can anyone help me understand the issue?
