Having played the original Mass Effect, I was looking forward to purchasing the Spectre Gear (available from the CSec Req Officer). The first time I went to the vendor, I did actually see them but I obviously didn't have the credits to get them. When I revisited it later I noticed they had stopped showing up. I have since then passed 1 mil credits, still don't have It showing up in stores for me.(I'm also at a point in the game where level VII gear is dropping normally, so I'm guessing it's a glitch).
Maybe it has to do with the fact that it's tied to an achievement that is no longer associated with the game? Either way I really hope this gets fixed because it may not be impacting my normal difficulty playthrough that much, I DEFINITELY want those weapons if I decide to do a higher difficulty playthrough.
@CuriousValkyrie I 've found them available at CSEC requisitions officer but only after Virmire. But in the original, there was a lesser version of those same weapons at the early stages of the game
- @0icg That's my experience as well. The weapons showed up for me after Virmire. I checked it right before the endgame to see if I was lucky enough to upgrade my assault rifle to the Specter level 10, and it was there. I had over 10M so I just bought them all.
It's definitely a bug. Unless you use the exploit, the only time you can buy them are before the endgame. Can confirm, for myself they became available for purchase after Virmire mission. Bought 2x level 10 versions as i'd almost finished the game on both the citadel and on the normandy.
