Mass Effect 1 won't launch on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit

Game- Mass Effect Media- Digital Download via Gamersgate  System Details: Windows 8 Pro- 64 bit AMD A6-4400M APU (2.7 GHz) with Radeon HD 7520G graphics 4 GB RAM Video driver version- 8.982.10....

Hey, I still have the same problem running 8.1 and have done everything possible to try and fix this. Did you manage to get through?

I am also having the same problem ☹️  Just bought the game, was looking to play all night, but It just won't launch...So frustrating
