Mass Effect 1 wont start in PS3

Hello everyone

After several days of playing Mass Effect 1 on PS3. The game stopped after I saw the Bioware, EA and Edge of Reality logos. I can not access the Start screen.

I own a FAT PS3 and so far...I never had any problems with other games.

As I was researching this, I found in one of the forums that I should disable the Playstation Plus auto save option, delete the game data and reinstall again from disc.

After I did all that, the problem did not go away.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with this game?

I'll appreciate any possible solutions that you have tried and got your copy working.
